Emma says, “I am a working artist and Axis member, with a demonstrated history of working in the creative industries and arts education. Over the past twenty years I have built and maintained a successful artist’s practice while compiling a broad base of experience in administration, planning and delivery of arts-based education, and exhibition organisation. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Rhode Island School of Design with Honours, and a Master’s Degree in Fine Art from Cambridge School of Art with Distinction. Throughout my history of working as an artist I have completed work for commission, advertising and publication and recently was awarded a grant to complete a painting installation 24 Portraits: Recovering and Reimagining Women’s Labour at the University of Cambridge as part of The Rising Tide: Women at Cambridge programme of events.

I am delighted to have joined the Axis team where I can utilise my education and work experience in order to provide effective administrative support for the charity and its current projects including; Social ARTery, Social Art Library, Vacant Spaces, and the Social Art Network, the membership scheme, marketing and communications.”
